East Ohio College Online/Hybrid Nursing Program
East Ohio College School of Nursing is thrilled to launch its online/hybrid Nursing program, which is now accessible to students in Youngstown, OH, and the surrounding areas. This innovative program offers some flexibility for those pursuing their nursing education online. If you’re passionate about becoming a Registered Nurse*, this could be the perfect fit for you!
Our online/hybrid Nursing program at East Ohio College (EOC) allows students to complete their nursing classes’ didactic components online. To complement the experience, labs will be held at the East Ohio College campus, and clinical instruction will mostly be completed at Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth Youngstown or Boardman Hospitals. Nursing students could also participate in clinicals at Trinity Medical Center West or East.
Student nurses enrolled in this program seamlessly integrate into the culture and community of these hospitals. This experience not only aids in the transition from student to professional nurse but also emphasizes nurses’ vital role in fostering vibrant communities. Beyond medical care, they provide emotional support and adeptly navigate local resources for patients and their families.
Upon completion of the 18-month nurse training program, graduates will receive an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)*. Join us on this fulfilling journey toward a rewarding nursing career!

Procedural and Emergency Care Skills
- Foley Catheterization
- Place and manage urinary catheters and other drainage devices.
- Nasogastric (NG) Tube
- Insert feeding tubes through the nose to the stomach for nutritional support.
- IV Insertion
- Position a catheter into a vein to directly administer fluids, medications, or other essential treatments into the patient’s bloodstream.
- Medication Administration
- Administer medications through various routes (oral, IV, etc.) with accurate calculations and protocol adherence.

RN TO BSN THROUGH SISTER SCHOOL WVJC ONLINE
East Ohio College is excited to offer ADN graduates the opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through WVJC Online. This 12-month online RN to BSN program is through the WVJC School of Nursing. This program allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Upon passing the NCLEX-RN exam, RNs can begin their nursing careers while simultaneously earning their BSN. This program is designed for registered nurses (RNs) with an associate degree in nursing (ADN) who want to advance their careers.
East Ohio College ADN graduates auto-qualify for the BSN Pathway Scholarship* offered through WVJC upon acceptance into the program. Students who graduate from EOC with their ADN and immediately continue to the RN to BSN program could earn their BSN in less than three years! This can give students a head start in their careers, save valuable time and money, and allow them to advance their education.
