Medical Coding – It’s Not Sorcery, it’s Coding
Behind every healthcare story is the master of medical mysteries- a medical coder. While the elaborate codes and detail-oriented work may spook some individuals, medical coders thrive on precision. They transform complex patient data into codes that ensure records get filed correctly, insurance is billed properly, patients are treated accurately, and providers receive appropriate compensation.
East Ohio College’s Medical Coding program trains students to identify medical codes like magic, and prepares them to sit for the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice certification~ exam.
Dental Assisting – Frighteningly Healthy Fangs
A dental assistant ensures that their patients’ teeth gleam and their smiles beam. They learn to assist members of the dental team during in-office procedures, take dental impressions and X-rays, educate patients on proper oral care, and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling and inventory management.

Students in EOC’s Business Administration program learn essential business skills, including accounting, marketing, bookkeeping, business operations, customer service, and more.
This program helps students add an additional layer of qualification to their resumes by preparing for optional Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel certifications** and gaining experience with a real-world employer.

In a world filled with hackers, viruses, and virtual villains, there is no shortage of hauntings on the web. Cybersecurity professionals protect against digital threats and battle back against the spookiest online monsters. With their knowledge of digital protection, cybersecurity professionals can help businesses, organizations, and individuals avoid the scary parts of the online world.
East Ohio College prepares cybersecurity students to sit for several CompTIA certification exams, including Network+*, Security+*, Cybersecurity Analyst+*, and ITF+*.
Nursing – The Boo-Boo Crew
There’s nothing frightening about compassion, care, and courage, all of which EOC Nursing students must have in abundance. Nurses are the heroes who bring calm to the chaos of the healthcare team, helping to heal patients from basic injuries to advanced critical care. At East Ohio College, nursing skills are developed through online lectures, virtual simulations, and in-person lab and clinicals that prepare them for any situation they may encounter.
EOC nursing students are prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensure examination^ upon completing their coursework in the 18-month program and are ready to enter their careers
