Two members of the Student Government Club participated, Amiya Reed and Kayla Procopio, who are both enrolled in the Clinical Medical Assistant program, as well as EOC Administrative Assistant Malissa Cameron and Craig Monte, Career Management Director. Weeds were pulled, hedges were trimmed, and the morning was highlighted by tree planting. In addition, a commemorative marker was placed in front of the tree, which reads, “This tree was donated and planted by the East Ohio College Student Government June 2023”.
The Student Government Club manages a wide range of events, activities, programs, policies, and campus initiatives. It fosters the development of student morale and leadership, educates all members of the campus community about their rights and responsibilities, and serves as a forum for the expression of student views and interests. During the graduation ceremony, Student Government Club members receive and wear a white cord that identifies and honors their membership and dedication.
