East Ohio College Graduation 2022

East Ohio College celebrated its annual graduation ceremony on August 12, 2022. This was a milestone moment for many students of East Ohio College. The sunny Friday in August marked the graduation and completion of college for forty-five men and women. They celebrated with friends and family at a Beaver Local High School Auditorium. Graduates of the Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing/Administration, and Business Administration programs filled the seats. Before the ceremony started, families and graduates could be seen smiling, taking photos, and laughing with fellow students and faculty. Caitlyn Pike, a medical assistant graduate, said, “Graduation was a great experience. I originally wasn’t going to go because of work and kids, but Mrs. Hedrick changed my mind immediately. She told me how important it was and how I deserved to celebrate all the hard work I had put in the last 18 months. She was absolutely right. Walking across the stage while most of my family cheered me on was a great feeling. My grandparents came in from out of town just to celebrate. We went out to eat and had a fire afterward. I’ll always remember that day.”

The students, graduates, and their families were addressed with a lovely speech and encouraging words saying, “Graduates, when you first started at East Ohio, you looked at the future with hope and passion. You envisioned the career and life you wanted for yourself and set forth to make that dream a reality. Today you are one step closer.” East Ohio College’s very own Malissa Cameron was awarded the ‘WE CARE’ Award. Malissa graduated from the East Ohio Business Administration program and maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking classes. She demonstrated the ‘WE CARE’ values and is currently an irreplaceable member of East Ohio’s team.

Graduates were celebrated by their families, friends, and East Ohio College faculty. Natalie Gratteri said, “It’s the most amazing thing to experience when a student comes to your office the first time to enroll and start something new, to them walking across the stage to receive something that will change their life!” East Ohio College celebrates its successful graduates and is proud of their accomplishments.
