18-MONTH ONLINE/HYBRID NURSING PROGRAM IN EAST LIVERPOOL, OH


East Ohio College School of Nursing proudly offers an online, hybrid Nursing program available to students in East Liverpool, OH, and surrounding areas. This accelerated, 18-month program provides some flexibility for those who want to pursue their nursing education but cannot commit to being in a classroom every day. 

Our online/hybrid Nursing program at East Ohio College (EOC) allows students to complete the didactic components of their nursing classes online. To complement the experience, labs will be held on the East Ohio College campus, and clinical instruction will be primarily conducted at regional healthcare facilities surrounding East Liverpool, Ohio, including East Liverpool City Hospital, Trinity West, Aultman Alliance Community Hospital, Mercy Boardman, and Youngstown Hospitals. As well as Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Heritage Valley Beaver, Continuing Healthcare of Lisbon, WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center, and UPMC.   

Student nurses enrolled in this program become immersed in the clinical environment, preparing for nursing roles while building connections within the local healthcare community. This experience not only aids in the transition from student to professional nurse but also emphasizes nurses’ vital role in fostering vibrant communities. Beyond medical care, they provide emotional support and adeptly navigate local resources for patients and their families.

After completing the 18-month nursing training program, graduates will earn an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and become eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).* Embark on a meaningful path toward a successful and impactful career in nursing!

Procedural and Emergency Care Skills

  • Foley Catheterization
    • Placement and management of urinary catheters and other drainage devices.
  • Nasogastric (NG) Tube 
    • Insertion of a feeding tube through the nose to the stomach for nutritional support.
  • IV Insertion
    • Placement of a catheter into a vein to directly administer fluids, medications, or other essential treatments into the patient’s bloodstream.

ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN NURSING (ADN) PROGRAM IN OHIO


East Ohio College offers a structured registered nursing training program that teaches nursing students the essential skills and knowledge necessary for careers as Registered Nurses*. 

EOC’s 18-month associate degree in Nursing program prepares graduates to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses, otherwise known as the NCLEX-RN*. After passing and meeting any additional state requirements, they will be considered registered nurses (RN).

RN TO BSN THROUGH SISTER SCHOOL WVJC ONLINE


East Ohio College is excited to offer ADN graduates the opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through WVJC Online. Complete the online RN to BSN program in months through the WVJC School of Nursing. This program allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Upon passing the NCLEX-RN exam, RNs can begin their nursing careers while simultaneously earning their BSN. This program is designed for registered nurses (RNs) with an associate degree in nursing (ADN) who want to advance their careers. 

East Ohio College ADN graduates auto-qualify for the BSN Pathway Scholarship* offered through WVJC upon acceptance into the program. Students who graduate from EOC with their ADN and immediately continue to the RN to BSN program could earn their BSN in less than three years! This can give students a head start in their careers, save valuable time and money, and allow them to advance their education.
