Journey to East Ohio College
Danielle’s educational journey didn’t begin with East Ohio College. Prior to enrolling at EOC, she attended another college but decided to pursue other options because she was struggling to get assistance with some of her assignments. Danielle discovered East Ohio College and was impressed with some flexibility in her schedule that would permit her to fulfill the responsibility of taking care of her family while pursuing a college degree. EOC’s online/hybrid courses offered her the flexibility she needed to fit education into her busy life.
When asked why she chose EOC’s medical assisting training program, Danielle stated that she has been working as a medical assistant and wanted a college degree that would enable her to advance with her employer and open the door to more options in the future. When asked about her experience at East Ohio College, Danielle highlighted the flexibility of the program and the important value of being able to work on her school assignments when her busy schedule permitted.
One instructor, in particular, has significantly impacted Danielle’s journey: Ms. Kristen Scott. Danielle praised Ms. Scott for her ability to instruct the classes in a way that makes it easier to learn and comprehend the challenging curriculum. Looking ahead, Danielle has clear goals for her future. After graduation, she hopes to stay with her current employer but someday transfer into the lab in the hospital as a PRN employee. In addition to her employment goals, Danielle would like to purchase a home for herself and her family.
Danielle has enjoyed her time at East Ohio College. When asked, she stated she would refer EOC to family and friends due to her great overall experience and knowledge she’s gained. Outside of her academic pursuits, Danielle is a devoted mom who, when time permits, enjoys reading, hiking, and taking the kids on weekend adventures.
