Why Choose East Ohio College?

Nursing students at East Ohio College will complete their education in a supportive, small-school environment that offers some advantages over a traditional college. Students can expect to complete classroom instruction to learn fundamental nursing skills and then apply their knowledge in hands-on lab experiences led by qualified nursing instructors at our East Liverpool, Ohio, campus. Throughout their educational journey, they will be expected to complete hands-on clinical rotations at regional medical facilities. This additional real-world experience allows EOC nursing students to gain confidence in their practice and establish relationships with local professionals before graduation.

Additionally, the East Ohio College team is here to help support our students every step of the way in their nursing education. From the first time they speak with an admissions team member to the day they receive their nursing pin, our team cheers them on. Our career management department works with students throughout their time at EOC to ensure they feel prepared and comfortable entering the workforce through resume assistance, interview preparation, goal-setting, and career planning. As our students graduate and become alums, they are offered refresher courses^ as the nursing field evolves and continued access to the career management department for career assistance.

What Is An Accelerated Nursing Program?

East Ohio College’s accelerated Nursing program allows students to complete their nursing education and start their dream careers in less time than a traditional nursing school. We understand that future nurses want to help people, and the thing standing between them and their future is attending school. With our accelerated curriculum, you’ll complete classes and hands-on clinical experiences and be prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN* exam in only 18 months.

East Ohio College’s Nursing programs also offer direct admission, meaning students will save valuable time and money by starting their nursing classes as soon as they’re accepted and meet the program requirements set forth by the Institution and the Nursing Program Director.

How Direct Admission Can Help You

Attending a traditional nursing school can mean the student is completing years’ worth of unnecessary classes while waiting for admittance to the nursing program. Not at East Ohio College! Through our direct admission model, our students begin taking nursing courses from the time they are accepted into the Nursing program through graduation. This means their educational journey is filled with the hands-on nursing experience they can carry through their careers.
